This is a short video of our recent summer vacation to Canada, where we drove along the beautiful West Coast on the Sea to Sky Highway through epic views through The Canadian Rockies. We flew from the UK to Vancouver, then drove up through Whistler, Clearwater, Jasper and Banff before flying from Calgary back to the UK. Sights and attractions are almost too many to mention, but I’ll list these out in a later update. The scenery deserves a special mention - after visiting the fabulous French Alps last summer, I almost can’t believe this was even more breathtaking than I had prepared myself for. Every road, around every corner was an epic view as we travelled along the Sea to Sky Highway and along the Icefields Parkway. Awe-inspiring scenery, vibrant cities and a welcoming atmosphere all make Canada a popular tourist destination. As the largest country in North America, Canada is a vast land encompassing majestic mountains, spectacular coastlines, virgin forests, spacious prairies and Arctic tundra. While much of the nation is of British and French descent, Canada is home to a mosaic of multicultural communities. Here's an overview of the best places to visit in Canada.

Despite countless ordeals of getting to Canada, my summer exploration in Canada was an amazing experience. First in Toronto, then Montréal with high school friend Louis. In Toronto: I stayed at an awesome Airbnb downtown in Toronto. You can see the famous CN Tower right from the balcony. And going up to the CN tower is another thing you definitely don't want to miss if you are not acrophobic :) In Montréal, I visited Notre-Dame Basilica both at night and during the day. It's quite a different view. Louis showed me around the city by Bixi bikes. We biked at the Old Port of Montreal at night. We strolled around Rue Ste.-Catherine, which is a street of all the fancy boutiques. We tried conducting a musical fountain at the Places des Arts. Also, if you are interested, you can take a cruise at the old port if you want to see the skyline of Montréal. At night, we went to a bar on St Laurent Blvd. You can feel the vibe as long as you are on this street. I also went to Biodome, Olympics Park, Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, Saint Joseph's Oratory. Unlike Toronto, Montréal does not have a lot of skyscrapers. So climbing the Mount Royal is also an awesome choice to see the bird-eye view of the city (especially at night). Also don't forget to try some of the best smoke meat at Schwartz's and poutine basically anywhere you want! https://www.expedia.com/Ottawa.d178296.Destination-Travel-Guides Welcome to Ottawa, Ontario, where you’ll find charming old-world buildings surrounded by picturesque natural beauty. The first stop on an Ottawa tour should be the Rideau Canal. This waterway cuts the city in half, and it provides places for boating and paddleboarding during the summer. Visiting in winter? Not a problem—you can go ice skating along the Rideau when it ices over. On the south side of the river, you can see the Changing of the Guard Ceremony at Parliament Hill. A few blocks to the north is the National Gallery of Canada, a stunning glass-and-granite building full of art from Canadian, European, and other North American artists. You’ll be hungry after all this walking around, so head to ByWard Market. If you see beavertails, don’t worry; they’re a pastry, not part of an actual beaver—and they’re delicious. ByWard Market also has some of the best fresh produce you’ll ever taste, so stock up on fruits and vegetables while you’re there. After sampling the fare at ByWard Market, cross the river to visit the Canadian Museum of History in Quebec. This is where you can tour recreations of Old Canada: explore 1800s storefronts, wander into log cabins, and learn about the First Nations people who inhabited Canada for thousands of years prior to European settlement. Round out your trip with a venture to Gatineau Park, where you can relax by the lake or take tea in the MacKenzie King estate. What’s your favorite part of Ottawa? http://www.expedia.com/Niagara-Falls.d6023515.Destination-Travel-Guides Niagara Falls has long been a symbol of natural power and beauty. Visit this hallmark of Canadian and American tourism and see its majesty from a helicopter, boat, or walkway. Your Niagara Falls tour begins with a little bit of information: more than six million cubic feet of water spill over the sides per minute. You can explore three waterfalls, the most famous being the Canadian Horseshoe Falls, which are the widest and most powerful. Take a half-hour boat cruise and bask in the falls’ mist, or enter a special set of walkways behind the falls and see the strength and might of the rushing water right in front of you. No Niagara Falls sightseeing trip is complete without exploring the Botanical Gardens or Niagara on the Lake. The latter attraction offers boutiques, eateries, and picturesque views of the water you won’t soon forget. From helicopter tours to rafting, fishing, museums, and horseback rides, save money on all of them for less than $30! - https://www.mustdocanada.com/saver-card Welcome to Alberta, Canada! From boreal forest to vast prairies and high mountain peaks, Alberta is an incredible province to explore. This is Canada's fourth-most populous province and one of only two Canadian provinces that are land-locked. This is also our home province and it was very fun to be able to experience Alberta as part of the Road to 150 travel series. We rode a gondola to the top of a mountain, walked on a glacier, hiked to various waterfalls, canoed a glacier-fed lake, had fun at the second largest indoor waterpark in the world, hiked into a canyon, learned about dinosaurs, rode on a steam train, and learned about Canada's star music talent. We also went up into the iconic Calgary tower, rode the worlds largest indoor triple loop rollercoaster, and drove the world-famous Icefields Parkway. We packed a lot of adventures into our short visit and can't wait to explore the province deeper. Learn more at https://www.mustdocanada.com/best-things-to-do-in-alberta We explored Alberta from September 28 - October 11, 2017. Canada's Road to 150 is a 150-day Canada-wide multi-media road trip celebrating Canada's 150th birthday by exploring the uniqueness of this country provincially and collectively while answering the question; What makes Canada special? We will drive to and through every driveable province and territory, showcasing Canada's natural beauty and regional attractions while interviewing Canadians of all cultures and backgrounds, including local celebrities, immigrants, refugees, and everyday rural and urban Canadians. Our aim is to dig deep into what makes Canada such an incredibly inspiring country while showing off the best of Canada's tourism to Canadians and to the world. Welcome to Montreal, Canada. This extraordinary city, which began life as a French colony in the 1600s, is now a stunning metropolis combining old-world architecture with modern dashes. When Mark Twain visited Montreal in the 19th century, he was so taken by its many churches that he nicknamed it “The City of 100 Bell Towers.” These numerous buildings are often part of Montreal sightseeing; marvel at the imposing stone façade of Christ Church Cathedral, or stand beneath the great arched ceiling of the beautiful Notre Dame Basilica. You can spend days exploring the city’s many sacred spaces, but Montreal tourism is so much more than that; if you’re a foodie, you’re in luck, because the residents of Montreal adore a good meal, whether it’s poutine from a streetside bistro or fresh produce from the farmers market. A tour of Montreal will take you across cobblestone streets and through architecture that dates back to the 1600s, but one thing you must remember to do is to walk and play in its numerous green spaces. The city’s inhabitants take great pride in Montreal’s natural beauty, and hikes up Mont Royal or along the St. Lawrence River are frequent activities for locals. Remember to bring your camera, as the riverfront and the mountain are full of striking photo opportunities. What is your favorite part of Montreal? https://www.expedia.com/Vancouver.d178315.Destination-Travel-Guides Vancouver’s breezes carry the scents of nature and aromas of all the urban delights you’d expect from a city regularly voted, “the Worlds most livable”. The city takes its name from the British navigator who landed here in 1792. The original settlement was called “Gastown”, in honor of Gassy Jack, who built the city’s first tavern. Gassy Jack and his makeshift pub may be long gone, but in the historic neighborhood of Gastown, his spirit lingers on. Vancouver’s early history continues at Waterfront Station, the western terminus of the Canadian Pacific Railway. The railway’s construction brought Chinese workers by the thousands, whose descendants have enriched Vancouver ever since. Experience this interweaving of cultures in Chinatown, where the fusing of Oriental flavors with local seafood has helped earn the city the title, “the Culinary Capital of Canada.” After visiting Vancouver’s central highlights, ride the ferry to Granville Island. Stock up on provisions at the Granville Island Public Market and sample craft ales at Granville Island Brewing. From Granville Island, head to Queen Elizabeth Park on Little Mountain, a peaceful oasis high above the city. When it’s time to answer the call of the wild, cross the Lions Gate Bridge to The North Shore, a wilderness where bears roam and salmon-filled rivers flow through old-growth forests. Less than a two-hour drive from the city is Whistler Blackcomb Resort, the largest ski resort in North America. The beautifully connected runs here cater to all skill levels and attract elite skiers and beginners from all over the globe.

When visiting Montreal consider the following top 35 things to do in Montreal as a travel video guide for all of the best attractions in the city. There is no other city in Canada or the United States of America that can compare with Montreal in terms of its diversity and European flare. As a city of festivals (during the winter, fall, spring and summer) you're left with an inexhaustible amount of things to see and do in the city during all four seasons. Join us for an epic Canada Road Trip in this vlog as we highlight our journey driving from the Ontario to British Columbia as a family traveling with a dog. As one of our last major trips of 2018 it was an incredible opportunity to travel with Audrey's family and Togo the German Shepherd across Canada. Basically we all piled into a van and drove roughly 9 to 12 hours per day over 4 days to arrive in Alberta before spending a couple of nights with a family friend before making the brief crossing over to British Columbia. Overall, our journey looked like this: Day 1 Driving in Ontario and staying overnight in a cabin Day 2 Once again driving in Ontario and staying overnight in a cabin Day 3 Driving out of Ontario crossing through Manitoba and staying overnight in Saskatchewan in an airbnb Day 4 Driving from Saskatchewan in to Alberta and staying overnight with a friend Day 5 Exploring Alberta (which we'll show in another video) and staying overnight with a friend Day 6 Crossing from Alberta to British Columbia Basically if you're looking to do a road trip like this across Canada you can make it from Ontario to British Columbia in four busy days or a more comfortable 5 days. He is ready for his road trip. Ready to see all of Canada. He looks so happy. Well, good morning good morning. Good morning guys. We are kicking off this road trip. It is happening. It is happening. The plan. I feel like we haven't really explained it. We came up with the idea to do this last minute road trip with my family. With my parents with the dog. We're going to be driving from Ontario to BC. Yeah, British Columbia for those who don't know. Haha. British Columbia. Sam's home province. I haven't been there in over 10 years I'm so excited to go back. It is going to be fun. I've never been there before. It is going to be 4 days of driving to get there. We're going to show you guys the road trip and then once we get to BC we're going to be doing lots of hiking, visiting lakes, mountains, nature. It is going to be a good time and then on the way back we're planning to travel via the US if we can get across the boarder with this dog. We want to hit the road. We've got three provinces in one day. It is very exciting. Want to name them all? We're leaving Ontario. We're going to Manitoba and then we're finishing off in Saskatchewan. We've got a lot of driving. We are getting close to Regina. We like blasted through Manitoba. It took us two and half days to get through Ontario and just a few hours to get through Manitoba. Flat roads the whole way and yeah the scenery didn't really change. Like we started off with a little bit of forest as we crossed through Ontario into Manitoba and then it became flat like a pancake and it was mostly like farmland so it was a completely different change of scenery. We are going to be continuing the road trip out to BC (British Columbia) so like yesterday we did a little bit of sightseeing around Alberta but now we're going to finish off strong so we have about three hours left to drive over across the Rockies. I think we can say welcome to home sweet home. Where are we? Welcome to my home province of British Columbia guys. This is my first time in Invermere. It looks like a beautiful town and we're going to show you the house that we're staying in. This is going to be our little base as we explore BC and Alberta. The Rockies. But before we do that I've just got to show you how big the property is. This is part of our Travel in Canada video series showcasing Canadian food, Canadian culture and Canadian cuisine.
