How to Add Custom Fonts in WordPress Manually and Using a Plugin
Are you looking to customize the font on your WordPress site to make its design exactly how you like? Not all themes have a built in method to edit the font of your site and you may be looking to change this. In this video, we will show you how to add custom fonts to your WordPress site. Font Pair website: https://fontpair.co For selecting the fonts to use on your site you can use the Font Pair website for what would work well together and then you can visit the Google Fonts website at: https://fonts.google.com Select the fonts you want to add and there should be a new section at the bottom of the page where you can see the fonts you selected to add to your WordPress site. Expand that area and ensure you are under the Embed section for the correct code that you will need to add to your header. For adding the code you would want to use the plugin Insert Headers and Footers found here: https://wordpress.org/plugins/insert-headers-and-footers/ Under Settings, Insert Headers and Footers you will add the first set of code to add the fonts to your site. With that added and saved you will want to go under Appearance, Customize, Additional CSS and there you would be able to add the second code which lets the font be visible to you and your visitors. A second method would be using the Easy Google Fonts plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/easy-google-fonts/ The plugin will add a new section under Appearance, Typography and there you will be able to select the font to use for each style location. We would still recommend only two fonts to prevent confusing your users. Our third method for this would be the plugin Typekit Fonts for WordPress: https://wordpress.org/plugins/typekit-fonts-for-wordpress/ With that plugin, you would be able to select fonts from the Typekit website, add the ID from the popup, and select where you want the custom font for your WordPress site to appear in your Appearance, Customize, Additional CSS section. How To Add And Use A Custom Font In Squarespace
Adding a custom font in Squarespace is really easy. Just use the following CSS: @font-face { font-family: 'NAME'; src: url('FONT URL'); } h1 {font-family: 'NAME';} Simply scroll down to just below the CSS window and click 'Manage Custom Files'. Then, select the font file you want to upload from your computer and boom... step one complete. Then, paste in the CSS and replace NAME with the name you'd like Squarespace to recognise the font by, and URL with the URL of the font you just uploaded. You can find this by going back to 'Manage Custom Files' and clicking on the font. The link will insert automatically wherever your cursor is currently placed. Finally, add the final line of code. h1 {font-family: 'NAME';} Squarespace uses h1, h2, h3 and body/p text by default. Change 'h1' if you want it to be h2 etc and then change NAME to the name you just gave the font in the previous step. And that's it! If you want to take it further, you can add styling for size, spacing, shadow, line height... etc etc. Please like and subscribe if you found the video useful and let me know in the comments on through my blog if there is you would like me to make a Squarespace SOS video on!

CSS3 Tutorial for Beginners: 14 How to Use a Custom Font Family With Google Fonts ★ SUMMARY ★ Today what we're going to do is take a look at how you can change and modify your website's font using the google font feature. The reason you may want to do this is simply that you only have a handful of fonts available to use by default. And some other font services are very expensive. Instead, what you can do is use something like google fonts, embed that in your web page code and then go ahead and use that throughout your CSS. In this video, we'll take a look at how you can use some custom fonts from Google and make your website much more attractive and easier to read. I'm going to show you some of my favorite Google fonts, and I'll walk you through the process of embedding those fonts into your CSS code so that you can use them on your website. Also, you are going to take a look at the difference between some of the generic fonts vs. some Google fonts, and that way you'll be able to see how much more attractive your website can look when you use the Google Fonts feature. How to add custom fonts to your website.
Html & CSS tutorial on how to add custom fonts to your website. Written Instruction: Hello, so here is a quick tutorial on how to add custom fonts to your website. 1. Download the font that you want to use (Ignore if you already have it). I use Fontsquirell.com. 2. Once you have the fonts you like go to Fontsquirell.com, then to GENERATOR. Then upload the font file, check off the optimal setting and click download when ready. 3. Now locate your font kit, downloaded from Fontsquirell.com. 4. Find your font folder if you have one, if not create it. (Make sure is in the root folder of your site). 5. Drag the two files ending with the “.woff” extension to your font folder. 6. Next, on your font kit folder open the “stylesheet.csss” file and copy its content to your site CSS. (Put it on top of all the code). 7. The last step is to make sure the url on the @font-face code is pointing to the right location of the fonts (where the “.woff” files are.) Now just call the font anywhere on your CSS by typing font-family: 'sinkin_sans700_bold'; 8. That’s it, enjoy! Apt3K Creative Studio offers these tutorials in good faith. Custom Fonts for Gutenberg - UltraBlocks
There are plenty ways to improve the design of your website. One of the best is to customize the font. In our blocks we already have text color and font size options of the components. Recently, we've introduced the Font Family option. You are free to enable any of 20 fonts downloaded from Google Fonts. Each one has multiple styles like bold, italic and light. Choose some of them on the Settings page and use in your posts. The usage is pretty simple - we've added the new button to Block Controls. Edit some component, choose the font and here we are. Such emphasizing is very cool and simple because you already have this out-of-box. Since UltraBlocks stands for the best user experience there is the batch editing option in its multi-item blocks. The same story with the fonts. Often it's necessary to have one font for the page. After setting up the content and blocks you can open our new sidebar and choose the font to be applied to all the blocks simultaneosly. We need your feedback about any of our options and features. Stay tuned and support us with your tweets.
