Soak In Dead Sea Salt For 15 Minutes And You'll Be Amazed With The Transformation

03:03
Nestled between Jordan, Israel, and Palestine, the Dead Sea is a salt-lake more than 15 million years old. Among the planet’s saltiest bodies of water, the Dead Sea has a salinity of 34.2% – it’s ten times as salty as the ocean. Its salinity creates a harsh environment for flora and fauna, earning the name Dead Sea since precious few microorganisms can survive within it. Check out this 5 amazing things dead sea salt can do 1.Dead Sea Salt is Deeply Hydrating Bathing in a solution of 5% Dead Sea salt improves skin hydration, reduces redness and roughness, and enhances the skin barrier, according to a study published in 2005. Sufferers of atopic dry skin submerged one arm in seawater and the other arm in plain tap water for 15 just minutes. While the salt treated arm showed significant improvements in all areas, the tap water arm showed evidence of further transepidermal water loss. The anti-inflammatory and skin hydrating effects of Dead Sea salt are due to its high magnesium content. Magnesium salts bind to water, which in turn boosts skin absorption and permeability. 2. Dead Sea Salt Cleanses and Disinfects Thanks to sulfur’s natural antibacterial properties, Dead Sea salt is wonderful for cleaning the surface of the skin. Because Dead Sea salt contains only small amounts of sulfur salts, it offers a gentle way to reduce oily skin and clear away acne. 3. It is an Excellent Exfoliator Another way Dead Sea salt helps cleanse the skin is its ability to slough off dead skin cells that can contribute to skin roughness, clogged pores, and blemishes. To make a scrub, combine ½ cup of finely ground Dead Sea salt with ¼ cup of coconut oil. 4. Dead Sea Salt Promotes Youthful Skin In evaluating the effects of Dead Sea salt on aging skin, researchers found that it reduces skin roughness that contributes to fine lines and deep wrinkles. Compared with placebo, a commercially prepared anti-wrinkle gel, and a 1% Dead Sea salt solution, these ointments were applied twice daily for four weeks. While the placebo and anti-wrinkle gel reduced skin roughness by 10% and 27% respectively, the Dead Sea salt treatment was superior in smoothing skin, reducing deep wrinkling by an average of more than 40%.  5.Dead Sea Salt Calms Rheumatoid Arthritis Marked by painful swelling of the joints, rheumatoid arthritis may over time lead to bone erosion and deformity. Though there is no cure, Dead Sea salt therapy has proven to be an effective treatment for many of the symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis. In the study, patients bathed in Dead Sea salt daily for 20 minutes for two weeks. Evaluated by rheumatologists and their own self-assessments, patients showed significant improvements in morning stiffness, 15 meter walk time, hand-grip strength, circumference of joints, the number of active joints, and the activities of daily living.

Testing its effects on fibromyalgia – a chronic condition characterized by muscle pain, fatigue, disturbances in sleep, impaired memory, and mood swings – researchers found bathing in the Dead Sea over the course of 10 days improved the severity and frequency of symptoms.

A Mud Bath At The Dead Sea Of Jordan

05:26
The Dead Sea (Hebrew: יָם הַמֶּלַח‎ About this sound Yam ha-Melah lit. Salt Sea, Arabic: البحر الميت‎‎ About this sound Al-Bahr al-Mayyit[5]), is a salt lake bordered by Jordan to the east and Israel and Palestine to the west. Its surface and shores are 430.5 metres (1,412 ft) below sea level,[4][6] Earth's lowest elevation on land. The Dead Sea is 304 m (997 ft) deep, the deepest hypersaline lake in the world. With 34.2% salinity (in 2011), it is 9.6 times as salty as the ocean, and one of the world's saltiest bodies of water.[7] This salinity makes for a harsh environment in which plants and animals cannot flourish, hence its name. The Dead Sea is 50 kilometres (31 mi) long and 15 kilometres (9 mi) wide at its widest point.[1] It lies in the Jordan Rift Valley and its main tributary is the Jordan River. The Dead Sea has attracted visitors from around the Mediterranean basin for thousands of years. It was one of the world's first health resorts (for Herod the Great), and it has been the supplier of a wide variety of products, from asphalt for Egyptian mummification to potash for fertilizers. People also use the salt and the minerals from the Dead Sea to create cosmetics and herbal sachets. The Dead Sea water has a density of 1.24 kg/litre, which makes swimming similar to floating.[8][9] The Dead Sea is receding at an alarming rate. Multiple canals and pipelines were proposed to reduce its recession, which had begun causing many problems. The Red Sea–Dead Sea Water Conveyance project, carried out by Jordan, will provide water to neighboring countries, while the brine will be carried to the Dead Sea to help stabilize its levels. The first phase of the project is scheduled to begin in 2018 and be completed in 2021. The Dead Sea area has become a location for health research and potential treatment for several reasons. The mineral content of the water, the low content of pollens and other allergens in the atmosphere, the reduced ultraviolet component of solar radiation, and the higher atmospheric pressure at this great depth each may have specific health effects. For example, persons experiencing reduced respiratory function from diseases such as cystic fibrosis seem to benefit from the increased atmospheric pressure.[30] The region's climate and low elevation have made it a popular center for assessment of putative therapies: Climatotherapy: Treatment which exploits local climatic features such as temperature, humidity, sunshine, barometric pressure and special atmospheric constituents Heliotherapy: Treatment that exploits the biological effects of the sun's radiation Thalassotherapy: Treatment that exploits bathing in Dead Sea water Psoriasis Climatotherapy at the Dead Sea may be a therapy for psoriasis[31] by sunbathing for long periods in the area due to its position below sea level and subsequent result that UV rays are partially blocked by the increased cloud cover over the Dead Sea.[32] Rhinosinusitis Rhinosinusitis patients receiving Dead Sea saline nasal irrigation exhibited improved symptom relief compared to standard hypertonic saline spray in one study.[33] Osteoarthritis Dead Sea mud pack therapy has been suggested to temporarily relieve pain in patients with osteoarthritis of the knees. According to researchers of the Ben Gurion University of the Negev, treatment with mineral-rich mud compresses can be used to augment conventional medical therapy. Natural history There are two contending hypotheses about the origin of the low elevation of the Dead Sea. The older hypothesis is that the Dead Sea lies in a true rift zone, an extension of the Red Sea Rift, or even of the Great Rift Valley of eastern Africa. A more recent hypothesis is that the Dead Sea basin is a consequence of a "step-over" discontinuity along the Dead Sea Transform, creating an extension of the crust with consequent subsidence. Around 3.7 million years ago,[citation needed] what is now the valley of the Jordan River, Dead Sea, and the northern Wadi Arabah was repeatedly inundated by waters from the Mediterranean Sea. The waters formed in a narrow, crooked bay that is called by geologists the Sedom Lagoon, which was connected to the sea through what is now the Jezreel Valley. The floods of the valley came and went depending on long-scale climate change. The Sedom Lagoon[17] deposited beds of salt that eventually became 2.5 km (1.55 mi) thick.

Red Sea to Supply Water to Dead Sea

The Dead Sea, bordering the Middle Eastern countries of Israel and Jordan, and the Palestine territories, is reportedly losing water, with the surface receding at the rate of around three feet annually, due to irrigation water taken out of its tributary, the River Jordan. The Dead Sea, bordering the Middle Eastern countries of Israel and Jordan, and the Palestine territories, is reportedly losing water, with the surface receding at the rate of around three feet annually, due to irrigation water taken out of its tributary, the River Jordan. An agreement has been signed by officials from Israel, Jordan and the Palestinian Authority in an effort to save the Dead Sea from disappearing by bringing water from the Red Sea to a desalination plant in Jordan and piping the resulting brine to the Dead Sea. Hydroelectric energy will be used to power the desalination process that will also provide drinking water for the area. The deal was signed at the World Bank headquarters in Washington D.C. with a projected cost of between 250 and 400 million dollars. The Dead Sea not only provides water for the area, but is also popular with the health and tourism industry thanks to its unique mineral properties. These industries are threatened by the loss of water, which some estimates say could disappear by 2050. However, environmental advocacy groups are also concerned over the possible effects of the brine on the area's fragile ecosystem. What do you think about the plan to bring brine from the Red Sea to restore the Dead Sea' s water level?

In the Jewish sources (the Bible and the Scrolls) many names were given to the Dead Sea: Yam Ha-Arava (the Arabah Sea), the Sea of Lot, Lake Sodom and the Ancient Sea. The Roman historian Pompeius Trogus, who lived at the end of the first century BCE, wrote: "This is a gigantic lake which from its magnitude and the stillness of its waters is called the Dead Sea". Since then the name "Dead Sea" has become the common name of the Salt Sea in the world.

Dead Sea salt refers to salt extracted or taken from the Dead Sea. The Dead Sea is popular with tourists from all over the world for its reputed therapeutic effects. The water of the Dead Sea has a salt content of 29%, compared to 4% in the oceans,[1] and is consequently substantially denser. This allows anyone to easily float on Dead Sea water because of its greater density. Its mineral composition is also different from ocean water since only 12–18% of Dead Sea salt is sodium chloride. A 2006 analysis of a commercial Dead Sea Salt product measured a 2.5% sodium chloride content; by comparison, 85% of the salt in normal ocean water is sodium chloride.

Dead Sea Ormus - How to make it (Updated) Pt1

Update of how to make purified ormus from Dead Sea salt by the pH 10,7 to 1.0 to 8.7 method. Covers all the equipment you will need and concentrations and preparations of NaOH and HCl required. The composition of the salt is shared and the amounts of solutions required including graphs of reaction curves. Definitely watch before considering ingesting it! It is apparent that the final product contains an unexpected material and a higher percentage of the starting material than expected. I have proved to myself that there is an interesting material. In my next experiment I study this further, attempting to resolve whether or not most of it is still Mg(OH)2. See more at ormuslight.com

Dead Sea shrinkage predicts future mega drought

06:34
(21 Jun 2017) LEADIN: Scientists in Jordan say a mega drought that devastated the Middle East thousands of years ago is set to return. Evidence found inside bubbles trapped in salt below the Dead Sea predicts another mega drought heading for the area at some point during this century. The findings point to a bleak future for the Middle East where the water in the Dead Sea watershed that is currently used by Israel, Palestine and Jordan might vanish completely. STORYLINE: The air vibrates with heat along the lowest point on Earth 430 metres or 1,412 feet deep below sea level. This is the shoreline of the Dead Sea near the Wadi Zarqa Ma'in canyon in Amman, Jordan. The water glitters in the hot sun, the shores are rimmed with sharp salt crystals. But the salt lake is slowly shrinking – losing a metre of depth a year – as climate change and human water consumption deplete its resources. Geologists from Jordan, Israel and the United States are collecting preliminary samples from ravines and waterfalls across the eastern shore of the Dead Sea. Ancient clues buried in mud, rock and salt just might help these scientists learn more about the future of this area - that many believe will likely be even more arid than it is today. While the western side of the Dead Sea in Israel is well-studied. The team here hopes to fill in what they describe as "the blank map" of Jordan with geological data that can help them explain when and how the Dead Sea has grown in the past. Yael Kiro, a geochemist at the Columbia University Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory says: "We want to learn what's going on in the Dead Sea in terms of how much water from the eastern side and what is the composition of water and what is the composition of sediments. We can't understand without this the changes that we see in the Dead Sea and therefore we can't understand the climate without knowing what is going on here." Kiro lead a Dead Sea drilling project in 2010 along with fellow geologists, Moti Stein and Stephen Goldstein. A floating drill discovered evidence of cyclical growth and shrinkage of the salt lake. At times it stretched to the Golan Heights; other times mega droughts devastated the watershed and drove the Dead Sea 100 metres deeper than it is today. When water flows downhill it carries with it soil, salt, trees and other detritus like animal carcasses. Over thousands of years this material forms layers coloured by its contents – ashen white for dry summers and dark grey for fertile winters. Geologists can read the history in these bands of colour – and use sophisticated laboratory experiments to discover intricate details of changes of climate 200,000 years ago until today. "Now we are with our partners and colleagues from Columbia University to study and sample different water resources from the eastern part of the Dead Sea and besides that we are sampling rocks and different soil profiles to see any indicators of the paleoclimate which is the climate thousands of years ago to have a clear idea about what was the climate, what is the climate now, and then we can forecast the future climate of the Dead Sea area," says Marwan al-Raggad, a hydrologist at the University of Jordan. "Our main objective is to study the climate in the area and to see how the climate affects the Dead Sea and for sure if the climate is affecting the Dead Sea it will affect the ecosystem it will effect the whole community of the area in the Middle East and Northern Africa areas that is contributing to the Dead Sea areas." Goldstein is a geochemist at the Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory at Columbia University. He has studied the Dead Sea for 30 years. Have you seen a storm at the Dead Sea Israel?

02:32
Zahi Shaked A tour guide in Israel and his camera. +972 54 6905522 "Dead Sea" , "Sea of Salt", also called the Salt Sea, is a salt lake bordering Jordan to the east, and Israel and the West Bank to the west. Its surface and shores are 422 metres (1,385 ft) below sea level,[2] the lowest elevation on the Earth's surface on dry land. The Dead Sea is 378 m (1,240 ft) deep, the deepest hypersaline lake in the world. It is also one of the world's saltiest bodies of water, with 33.7% salinity. Only Lake Assal (Djibouti), Garabogazköl and some hypersaline lakes of the McMurdo Dry Valleys in Antarctica (such as Don Juan Pond) have a higher salinity. It is 8.6 times more salty than the ocean.[4] This salinity makes for a harsh environment where animals cannot flourish, hence its name. The Dead Sea is 67 kilometres (42 mi) long and 18 kilometres (11 mi) wide at its widest point. It lies in the Jordan Rift Valley, and its main tributary is the Jordan River. The Dead Sea has attracted visitors from around the Mediterranean basin for thousands of years. Biblically, it was a place of refuge for King David. It was one of the world's first health resorts (for Herod the Great), and it has been the supplier of a wide variety of products, from balms for Egyptian mummification to potash for fertilizers. People also use the salt and the minerals from the Dead Sea to create cosmetics and herbal sachets. In 2009, 1.2 million foreign tourists visited on the Israeli side. The sea has a density of 1.24kg/L, making swimming difficult. The Dead Sea is an endorheic lake located in the Jordan Rift Valley, a geographic feature formed by the Dead Sea Transform (DST). This left lateral-moving transform fault lies along the tectonic plate boundary between the African Plate and the Arabian Plate. It runs between the East Anatolian Fault zone in Turkey and the northern end of the Red Sea Rift offshore of the southern tip of Sinai. The Jordan River is the only major water source flowing into the Dead Sea, although there are small perennial springs under and around the Dead Sea, creating pools and quicksand pits along the edges.[7] There are no outlet streams. Rainfall is scarcely 100 mm (3.9 in) per year in the northern part of the Dead Sea and barely 50 mm (2.0 in) in the southern part. The Dead Sea zone's aridity is due to the rainshadow effect of the Judean Hills. The highlands east of the Dead Sea receive more rainfall than the Dead Sea itself. To the west of the Dead Sea, the Judean Hills rise less steeply and are much lower than the mountains to the east. Along the southwestern side of the lake is a 210 m (690 ft) tall halite formation called "Mount Sodom".There are two contending hypotheses about the origin of the low elevation of the Dead Sea. The older hypothesis is that it lies in a true rift zone, an extension of the Red Sea Rift, or even of the Great Rift Valley of eastern Africa. A more recent hypothesis is that the Dead Sea basin is a consequence of a "step-over" discontinuity along the Dead Sea Transform, creating extension of the crust with consequent subsidence. Around three million years ago, what is now the valley of the Jordan River, Dead Sea, and Wadi Arabah was repeatedly inundated by waters from the Mediterranean Sea. The waters formed in a narrow, crooked bay which was connected to the sea through what is now the Jezreel Valley. The floods of the valley came and went depending on long scale climate change. The lake that occupied the Dead Sea Rift, named "Lake Sodom", deposited beds of salt, eventually coming to be 3 km (1.9 mi) thick. Approximately two million years ago, the land between the Rift Valley and the Mediterranean Sea rose to such an extent that the ocean could no longer flood the area. Thus, the long bay became a lake.Masada (Hebrew מצדה, pronounced Metzada (help•info), from מצודה, metzuda, "fortress") is the name for a site of ancient palaces and fortifications in the South District of Israel on top of an isolated rock plateau, or horst, on the eastern edge of the Judean Desert overlooking the Dead Sea. After the First Jewish-Roman War a siege of the fortress by troops of the Roman Empire led to the mass suicide of the Sicarii rebels, who preferred death to surrender. It is located about 20 km east of Arad

Dead Sea (Ezekiel) Prophecy Fulfilled ! Israel News! Fish swimming along Dead Sea's shores!

09:36
“And it shall come to pass in that day that living waters shall go out from Yerushalayim: half of them toward the eastern sea and half of them toward the western sea; in summer and in winter shall it be.” Zechariah 14:8 (The Israel Bible™) Then said he unto me: ‘These waters issue forth toward the eastern region and shall go down into the Arabah; and when they shall enter into the sea into the sea of the putrid waters the waters shall be healed. And it shall come to pass that every living creature wherewith it swarmeth whithersoever the rivers shall come shall live; and there shall be a very great multitude of fish; for these waters are come thither that all things be healed and may live whithersoever the river cometh. Ezekiel 47:8-9 (The Israel Bible) Almost ten times saltier than the ocean, nothing can live in the Dead Sea’s hyper-saline environment – Or so scientists thought until recently. Scientific research has proved the existence of life at the bottom of the sea, but due to a unique set of circumstances, signs of life have begun appearing on its very shores, precisely as it is written in the Book of Prophets in the Bible. A young woman on a nature hike was shocked recently when she discovered freshwater ponds with fish on the shores of the Dead Sea. Samantha Siegel, a Jewish woman living in Jerusalem, often takes trips to the desert and the ancient body of water. On a recent visit, she encountered an incongruous sight with powerful implications: a prophecy appearing before her eyes that seemed to contradict the laws of nature.... The Dead Sea Is In Grave Danger (1996)

13:38
Killing the Dead Sea (1996): A report on the environmental dangers faced by the Dead sea. Subscribe to Journeyman here: http://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=journeymanpictures# Synopsis: In the last 40 years the sea level of the Dead Sea has sunk 16 metres, leaving behind white, salty residues on the sandy shore. Ecologist Gidon Bromberg believes industry and over-development may have robbed the sea of its chance to rejuvenate. For years, the shimmering waves and oases of palm trees have provided a natural spa tourists. Lured by the therapeutic benefits of low humidity and oxygen rich air, they can float in the water and read books or cover themselves in black mud to soak up the medicinal effects. But as new international hotels spring up, Bromberg laments the lack of co-operative strategy between Jordan and Israel. He says, "there is no holistic plan" and worries that industrial mineral plants on both sides of the sea continue to drain the basin. If there is still hope of hydrating the patchy ground and sandy shelves surrounding the sea, then development of this historical and geographical treasure must be properly controlled. Egyptian style wet method with bokek dead sea salt (ormus)

03:18
Tani and Matthew performing part of the process to extract Ormus from Dead Sea salt , at the Pulphouse , in Arizona ........ Featured in this video is the Egyptian Wet Method process and it is a solid reliable process ..... We have performed The Egyptian Method many times here with consistent results ........ We were unable to edit video at the time so we didn't show the process of making the natron solution (which takes place before what you see in the video) , and the washing process (which takes place after what you see in the video) ... Bromine, Sodium and Potassium are all removed from the precipitate by the washing process, and it is performed as follows: after settling: wash it thoroughly at least three times by decanting, mixing with pure water, letting it settle and decanting again , rinse and repeat , quite literally! (hehe) ..... There are no Gilcrest elements in Dead Sea Salt so overshooting a PH of 10.78 by a bit is really nothing to be concerned about, therefore no need to use a PH meter if you use these measurements (as used in the video).................. So ok, for the sake of detail and clarity --- STARTING FROM THE BEGINNING: First make your sodium carbonate solution by thoroughly baking 1 pound of Sodium Bicarbonate (Baking soda) in your oven on high for at least a few hours which turns the powder into Sodium carbonate (aka "Natron" or "Washing Soda") and then dissolve that natron powder into 36 ounces of water , and VOILA this is your concentrated sodium solution which will act as your alkaline reagent........It only requires about 140 milliliters of this alkaline sodium solution per batch so 36 ounces should be enough for several of these small batches..... Add your 140 milliliters of sodium (natron) solution to 24 ounces of water and set it aside for later... ...... Next make your reconstituted Dead Sea water by dissolving 2 to 3 tablespoons (yes this recipe is just THAT forgiving! =) ) into 24 ounces of water (reverse osmosis, distilled , or spring water etc) and the video demonstrates how to mix your two solutions and what to expect.....Set this milky looking solution (Hathor's milk) into a dark space (like a closet) with no strong magnetic fields nearby ...You can wrap the container with aluminum foil for further protection from RF or other high frequency EM fields while the precip is settling, but honestly Ormus is very stable with this much sodium present, but that will change after the washing is finished...... Potency degrades quickly after the washings, so you want to use it over the next few days after the final wash ........ This decanting/washing process can begin after the precip is fully settled which may take a few days , but it will settle faster after the first wash .............. Perhaps i will post an edited video showing all of the steps in more detail in the near future ...... NOTE: You can dissolve the finished precip in fresh Lemon juice, I highly recommend mixing this with something that contains live beneficial bacteria (like a good Yogurt , Kefir , Kombucha, Kevita, or EM1 if you are feeding plants), this will enhance the effects of the Ormus.

Ezekiel Dead Sea Last Days Fulfillment occurring NOW - Bible Prophecy Proven Again! https://www.breakingisraelnews.com/114621/ezekiels-vision-revealed-dead-sea-life/ Thanks for watching! John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God. ===== Support: http://www.micahgallant.com/support https://www.Tubebuddy.com/enuts Music that isn't free use is used by permission from Andrew Applepie: https://andrewapplepie.bandcamp.com

Judaism, Christianity and the Dead Sea Scrolls

01:25:02
The discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls has revolutionized our picture of the early history of Judaism and of the Jewish background of early Christianity. With the completion of the publication of the entire scrolls collection, it is now possible to draw significant conclusions from this treasure trove of ancient documents. This illustrated lecture by Professor Lawrence Schiffman will discuss the discovery of the scrolls, the archaeology of Qumran where the scrolls were unearthed, the nature of the library, and its significance for the study of Judaism, Christianity and their common destiny. Dead Sea Ormus

19:07
Definitely for the person wanting to really know more about Ormus before risking ingesting it! A basic demonstration of making it from Dead Sea Salt and of further refining it to the legendary White Gold or m-state precipitate. It also covers the general composition of the salt and how this plays out in the precipitation. By the process of elimination, it is apparent that the final product, though small, is an unexpected material, and certainly significant as a percentage of the starting material were it to be tried. I have proved to myself that there is an interesting material. In my next experiment I will study this further and attempt to rule in or out whether the material could be early precipitation of Mg(OH)2 See more at ormuslight.com

Red Sea-dead Sea Water Conveyance Project

01:16
Officials from the Jordanian ministry of water and irrigation have met with Egyptian officials to discuss Egypts worries over the red sea-dead sea water conveyance project. This comes as a trial from the Jordanian part to accomplish what is seen as a step towards solving the problem of water in Jordan, which is considered the worlds fourth poorest country in water. On the other hand, Egyptian officials have declared their worries concerning this projects effect on the red sea, a subject which was addressed during their visit to Jordan, which they will conclude with a visit to both seas. Jordan is poor in water, but it doesnt seem like this project will be the answer to Jordans problems in regards to water, as not enough research has been made around its effects on both water bodies.

Dead Sea, Israel (quadcopter)

02:51
The Dead Sea in Israel attracts many people from all over the world. It's the lowest point on the earth (427 meters below sea level) and a natural health spa. The water has the highest concentration of salt in the world, that's why it's called the Dead Sea, as there's no any form of life in the sea due to the salinity. On the other hand, it provides health effects and therapies, as the waters are rich with minerals. It's warm there all year round and the place has become a modern vacation destination and a great combination of calmness, relaxation and treatment. The western shore welcomes you with organized convenient beaches and you'll find dozens of hotels and guest houses there. Phantom 2, ZenmuseH3-3D and GoPro Hero Black. No rivers drain out of the Dead Sea- the only way water gets out of the sea is through evaporation. When the water evaporates, it leaves behind all the dissolved minerals, making it saltier. How Dead Sea Salts work? The water of the Dead Sea contains 21 minerals including sodium, Magnesium, Calcium, Bromine, Bitumen and Potassium. This is 10 times more salt and minerals than in the Mediterranean sea. Twelve of these minerals are found in no other sea or ocean in the world. They are recognized for their ability to: • impart a feeling of relaxation • nourish the skin • activate the circulatory systems • ease rheumatic discomfort and metabolic disorders Sodium: Sodium ions remove skin scales and improve its permeability. After penetrating the skin, they bind the water and generate a feeling of suppleness. Ideal for very dry skin. Magnesium: Essential for cell metabolism. A significant deficit in Magnesium has been discovered in the skin scales and serum of patients with psoriasis. Magnesium reportedly affects the ripening of the skin cells of these patients. Moreover, in cases of bronchi, Magnesium works as an anti-allergic agent. Magnesium concentrations found in the Dead Sea are fifteen times higher than salts in other seas. Potassium: Improves the oxidation and regulates the electrical process of the muscles and the nervous system. Asthma patients achieve good results from inhaling the salts vapors. Bromide: Bromide concentration in Dead Sea Salts is 50 times higher than common salts, thus contributing to their very relaxing effect. Iodine: Necessary for the production of the hormone thyroxin, it is also vital for both energy and cell metabolism. Calcium: Necessary in strengthening cell membranes and cleansing the pores. Vital for the production and maintenance of healthy teeth and bones. Regulates heart muscles and nerves. Bitumen: Acts as an anti- inflammatory agent. Balances alkaline and acid in the body. Also vital for cell metabolism. Zinc: plays a role in enzymatic regulation of cell proliferation . The Dead Sea is unique not only because it is the lowest point on Earth, but also because it is filled with natural treasures, with zoological and botanic riches and because the region has witnessed remarkable historical events.
Healing powers of the Dead Sea

01:45
Float in it, slather it on, and feel the mineral-rich waters of Israel's famous Dead Sea soothe your skin with their healthful properties. At 400 meters below sea level, the Dead Sea is famous for being the lowest point on earth. It is also famous for its amazing healing powers. How can something "dead" be healthful? In Hebrew, the body of water is called the Salt Sea. It is so chock full of minerals that nothing can live in it -- but those very minerals are therapeutic for many skin conditions and are prized as ingredients in cosmetics. The minerals make for a super body mud mask and are fun for bathers, because their density makes you float on top of the water.
