Applications of nanotechnology and magnetism for data storage, medicine and art. Explains the principles of the superparamagnetic effect on very small particles, use of self assembly techniques to create nanoporous templates and magnetic structures with high volume to surface area ratios, and the application of the principle of exchange coupling to create smaller and more powerful permanent magnets. Medical applications include contrast agents for MRI identification of cancer cells, destruction of tumors with magnetically stimulated particles, and controlled release of medications. Ferrofluids have many practical applications; here we explore its potential as an artistic medium. The basic concepts of magnetic fields are demonstrated in three dimensions by the dynamic behavior of ferrofluid and powerful neodymium magnets.

"Capsules of Nanotechnology" is a project that seeks to bring and disseminate scientific activity of Nanotechnology to society and pursues the quest for achieving social impact scientists involving different actors, from researchers to a general public, to students high school, college, professional and technical teachers. In this sense, the main idea of the proposed approach nanotech activity is essential as it our main motivation is derived: the transfer of knowledge generated in the nanotechnology field and the promotion of scientific culture and innovation between the public objective, promoting understanding of the concepts related to innovation. In 2008 Alessandro founded a spin-off company, Politronica Inkjet Printing S.r.l., which developed products and patents jointly with Politecnico di Torino and Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia on innovative nanostructured inks for electromagnetic applications.

After we saw some interesting data in our LENR-Cam cell in which the platinum had gotten warmer while the Silver did not, we decided to try out he new RGA and sample what gasses were in the cell. Over time we see the ratios change and the total levels come down. Here we see how an oscillating PM field can influence transformer action. Although the primary coil is responsible for providing the energy required to oscillate the PM,the energy returned by the oscillating PM seems to be greater. This can be seen through both the reduction of P in to the primary coil,and also the increase in output to the secondary coil. There is also the fact that power is also being dissipated by way of vibration through the heavy work bench. More energy being dissipated through the load resistor on the output of the transformer--more energy being dissipated by way of vibrations through the work bench,and also energy required to create the oscillation of the PM,all this,and the P in go's down-not up.

Stuart Parkin IBM Almaden Research Center Nov 4, 2013 Spintronics lecture given by Stuart Parkin at the UC Santa Barbara Kavli Institute for Theoretical Physics (KITP). Spintronics is a research field that is focused on the controlled manipulation of currents of the quantum-mechanical spin angular momentum of electrons in atomically engineered nanostructures. It promises entirely new classes of sensor, memory and logic devices. Magnetic recording read heads -- initially formed from a "spin-valve", and more recently using a "magnetic tunnel junction" -- have enabled a 1,000-fold increase in the storage capacity of hard disk drives since 1997. The very low cost of disk drives coupled with the high performance and reliability of solid-state memories, may be combined in the Racetrack Memory -- a novel three-dimensional technology which stores information as a series of magnetic domain walls in nanowires, manipulated by spin-polarized currents. Spintronic devices may even allow for "plastic" devices that mimic synaptic switches in the brain, which would allow for the possibility of ultra-low power computing devices. Dr. Stuart Parkin is an IBM Fellow, manager of the Magnetoelectronics group at the IBM Almaden Research Center, and a Consulting Professor at Stanford University. He is also director of the IBM-Stanford Spintronic Science and Applications Center. Dr. Parkin's research interests include oxide thin film heterostructures, high temperature superconductors, and magnetic thin-film structures, as well as spintronic materials and devices for advanced sensor, memory, and logic applications. Among his many honors, Parkin is a Member of the National Academy of Sciences, the National Academy of Engineering, a Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, and a Fellow of the Royal Society (London). Among his numerous awards, he counts the 2009 IUPAP Magnetism Prize and Néel Medal, the APS's 2012 David Adler Lectureship Award, and the 2012 von Hippel Award from the Materials Research Society. What you see here is physical evidence of advanced nanotechnology that is integrated into a living being. The reflections of light are difficult to see with the naked eye, however, under the correct circumstances and the right angle of incidence we are able to see what appears to be at the skins surface reflections of light which are able to change their angle despite neither the finger nor the source of light moving. Furthermore, these changes in reflection suggest a level of intelligence and control in order to manipulate a large number of very small machines. Firsthand experience with this technology has shown that these machines are able to circulate through the human body along set pathlines, are self-sustaining through bio-electrical means, and that they are designed with a closed system principle in mind. Exactly where this technology came from and exactly how it works is beyond my current understanding. However, I have had enough experience with it to understand the basic principles involved in how this works. Also notable is there is no rejection by the body to what it would naturally react to as a foreign substance. As I understand it, for this to be possible requires knowledge and precision at the quantum level of exisence to manipulate cellular structure to this degree. The purpose of these videos is to connect with any person or persons who can scientifically identify and validate this claim. The existence of this technology is profound and needs professional evaluation by individuals with equipment that is capable of scientifically verifying this as truth. Currently those who have seen this are unable to identify the origin of this technology or how it works. My personal experience with this is that of a physical and mental living hell. I need answers, and I need people who will actually give me the benefit of the doubt that this is real. It's not easy to approach anyone here with something like this. There's nothing that stands out in a significant way in which someone would take notice. It has to be specifically pointed out. Any concrete information about who to contact regarding this matter would be greatly appreciated. Also, any prayers would help, God knows I've needed them. Thank you, Ryan

As the demand grows for ever smaller, smarter electronics, so does the demand for understanding materials' behavior at ever smaller scales. Physicists at the U.S. Department of Energy's Ames Laboratory are building a unique optical magnetometer to probe magnetism at the nano- and mesoscale. The device, called a NV-magnetoscope, makes use of the unique quantum mechanical properties of nitrogen-vacancy (NV) centers in diamond. The low temperature NV-magnetoscope setup incorporates a confocal microscope (CFM) and an atomic-force scanning microscope (AFM). The NV-magnetoscope will be able to sense the extremely weak magnetic fields of just a handful of electrons with the spatial resolution of about 10 nanometers. "We want to determine magnetic textures more precisely than ever before, at smaller scales than ever before," said Ames Laboratory physicist Ruslan Prozorov. "Our hope is to understand nano- and mesoscale magnetism, learn how to control it and, eventually, use that to create a new generation of technologies." Usually, diamonds are most valued when they're perfect and big. But physicists see special value in diamonds' tiny flaws: a certain kind of imperfection, called a nitrogen vacancy (NV) center, serves as a very sensitive sensor of the magnetic field exactly at the location of the NV center. NV centers are created when a carbon atom is substituted with a nitrogen atom.
