FILM DESCRIPTION: Controversial rap star Eminem makes his acting debut in this hard-edged urban drama, inspired in part by incidents from the musician's own life. Jimmy Smith (Eminem), known to his friends as Rabbit, is a young man trying to make his way out of the burned-out shell of inner-city Detroit. Rabbit's entire life has been a hard climb, and it certainly hasn't gotten any easier lately; Rabbit has just been dumped by his girlfriend, forcing him to move back in with his emotionally unstable mother, Stephanie (Kim Basinger), and he's getting along especially poorly with Stephanie's new boyfriend. Rabbit has a factory job that's tough, demeaning, and doesn't pay especially well, and he's convinced his skills as a rapper are his only real hope at a better life. Rabbit makes music with a crew of DJ's and MC's who call themselves Three One Third, among them his close friend Future (Mekhi Phifer), but his status as a white kid making music in a predominantly African-American community and culture is extremely intimidating, and after Rabbit freezes up in the midst of an MC battle, he's convinced he's missed his chance and that he's doomed to lead a marginal life as a factory rat for the rest of his days. With the help of his friends, and his new girlfriend Alex (Brittany Murphy), Rabbit struggles to work up the courage and the confidence to take one more shot at making his dream a reality. 8 Mile was shot on location in Detroit; the name refers to 8 Mile Road, a thoroughfare along the city's perimeter which effectively separates the middle-class suburban neighborhoods from the lower-class inner-city. Pieced together all the brand new, and previously released, footage from Australian beauty, Margot Robbie, ass-tastic (1:47) portrayal of Harley Quinn in 2016's Suicide Squad. With all the new footage recently released, we get a much better idea of what Harley's origin plot will be. http://www.youtube.com/c/ArtHistoryPhilosophyofLifeChannel?sub_confirmation=1 Ilya Repin was a skilled Russian painter of the Peredvizhniki School, who was held up by the Soviet government as an artist to be imitated by the new school of Socialist Realists. At 22 years old, Repin started his art vocation at the Imperial Academy of Arts in St. Petersburg, an indistinguishable time from the "Disobedience of the Fourteen," when 14 youthful artists left the school subsequent to declining to paint legendary paintings for their confirmations. These artists would later shape the Society of the Peredvizhniki, which Repin participated in 1878. Repin and the free reasoning "wanderers," as they were likewise called, defied the formal institute, demanding that art ought to reflect genuine living. As an art understudy, his movements took him to Italy, Paris and Impressionist Exhibitions, and despite the fact that he was presented to the striking hues and brisk brush strokes of the impressionist style, he stayed consistent with his extraordinary type of authenticity. A large number of the subjects Repin painted were average citizens, similar to himself, in spite of the fact that he did on numerous events paint the Russian first class, intellectual elite, and Tsar Nicholas II. He likewise painted huge numbers of his contemporary countrymen, including writer Leo Tolstoy, author Modest Mussorgsky, researcher Dmitri Mendeleev, and Ukranian painter Taras Schevchenko. A typical repeating subject in his paintings was the Russian Revolutionary Movement, and therefore his works are regularly delegated a "Russian national style." In his later life, he lived in a house in Kuokkala, Finland, called the Penates, which he planned and constructed himself. After the October Revolution of 1917, Finland announced Independence, and Repin was welcome to come back to the Soviet Union. He won't, saying that he was excessively old, making it impossible to make the voyage, and stayed in Finland until his passing thirteen years after the fact. In 1940, the Penates house was opened to general society as an exhibition hall.

Many survivors of toxic relationships won't even talk about it with the people they're closest to in their lives - and even when they appear to be totally fine and are capable of a friendly conversation (and have good social skills), there can be an underlying feeling of isolation for a survivor - one that feels sort of like a dull ache. INDE’s Air, Land & Sea Augmented Reality (AR) experience – in collaboration with the National Geographic Society – is expected to attract hundreds of thousands of people every year, with a permanent installation at the Toronto Zoo opened in June 2015. A dynamic watering hole serves as the centerpiece for Air, Land & Sea, allowing visitors to get up close and personal with a diverse range of animals from Africa to the Arctic as they graze, drink and interact with the environment around them. INDE has created the most realistic 3D animals ever made using AR technology, and these breathtaking experiences, compelling as both media space and edutainment platforms, are now available for both rental and permanent installation anywhere in the world. Besides an incredible level of crowd engagement, the system also provides a unique revenue opportunity: INDE’s SnapShare module creates picture and video snapshots for sharing through social media or on-site printing. www.indestry.com www.natgeo.org/exhibitions

Session 3: From the Cradle to the Grave: Birth, Childhood, and Death in the National Archives at St. Louis with Archivist Daria Labinsky & Archives Technician Cara Moore, National Archives at St. Louis, MO. Researchers familiar with the National Archives at St. Louis usually think of it as a place to investigate the working lives of adults, since it is attached to the National Personnel Records Center. In fact our records cover people “both coming and going” and can illuminate entire life spans. Genealogical information found in our personal data series may include biographical details such as dates of birth and death, parentage, next of kin, and heirs. No Personally Identifiable Information (PII) will be discussed. Daria Labinsky will discuss records series that contain information about pregnancy, birth, paternity, and children including: Project J Files, which may mention children who lived in Japanese internment camps in the Philippines; Chaplain Files, which record baptisms; Panama Canal personnel records and other civilian records series, which may contain information about pregnancies and children; and VA Claim Files, which can include information about paternity. Cara Moore will focus on deaths incurred during civilian federal service as detailed in Record Group (RG) 146, Official Personnel Folders. These record series will range from Prohibition agents to Postal employees to Civilian Conservation Corps enrollees. Some records include information related to the individuals’ deaths, the witness statements around them, and how their services were handled. Through the records of death in service, genealogists can recover details surrounding the death -- from the circumstances of the event, to whom the next of kin was, to notification details. ⇒ Genealogy Fair webpage: https://www.archives.gov/calendar/genealogy-fair ⇒ Handouts: https://www.archives.gov/calendar/genealogy-fair/2017/schedule-handouts

Scott Allan Knost follows in a proud tradition. Once upon a time, out on the lone prairie, before the electric guitar took center stage for the very first time, there were the balladeers, the singers and their instruments bringing songs to the cowboys, farmers and farriers. Original music is always the most authentic - and heartfelt. In that, Scott Allan Knost excels. Alone on the stage, Scott brings modernity to that tradition of yesteryear. Even with a mic and an amp, the real never goes astray. YeeHaw! Scott Allan Knost - Singer and guitar Performing over 1150 shows in 7 and a half years, Scott Allan Knost has been busy making his mark playing in bars, coffee houses and auditoriums through 29 states and 3 countries, he's been bringing new fans in to the fold with his brand of percussive, acoustic rock. Based in Midwest, SAK has been playing in various groups most of his life, some gaining radio play and touring throughout the midwest. In 2005, he began going to open mics and singing some of his original songs, written quietly in hotel rooms. Knost decided to fulfill a lifelong dream and started his professional solo career in March 2007, living solely on income generated from honorariums, royalties and merchandise. Scott has shared the stage with Martin Sexton, Uncle Kracker, Rehab, Casey Donahew, Andy Griggs, L.A. Guns, Faster Pussycat, Britny Fox just to name a few. If you are moved by his performance, you may extend a round of applause by giving his page a "like" here: http://www.facebook.com/scottallanknost More info can be found at: http://http://www.reverbnation.com/sc... http://scottallanknost.bandcamp.com http://www.linkedin.com/pub/dir/scott... His official website is: http://scottallanknost.com/ Flamboyant descriptions about the bard, his likes and influences, what they feel about various issues, dark secrets about favorite foods could be imparted here but this is a song - and the proof is in the pudding. It is also a performance. Turn the resolution on your monitors to the max. ------------------------------------------- About Film Foleo: Foleo is an exceptionaly talented artist with an international reputation. Recently, he has raised a camera to his painterly eye, painting portraits of performers in action. This is the real reality, the raw stuff. Unrehearsed, unscripted, unedited. Even if you were there, you weren't this there. The results are "lens paintings" made with a "pic on a stick" substituting for the brush. He waves his magic wand and voila - an action painting by an artist - perhaps in the spirit of Kline, Tworkov or de Kooning, a dash of Rembrandt and Picasso thrown in for good measure - with time and space as the canvas. Some may wonder how long a performance was rehearsed with Foleo before actual filming. There wasn't. Making the "painting" all the more remarkable is that often the artist had never heard the band or its music and this "kata" of camera-work is purely instinctive, born of Foleo's own inherent sense of music. "I'm usually a virgin on a blind date," Foleo reveals. "Not knowing the musician(s) or the music lends a certain freedom in the expression unfettered by any preconceptions." Virgin or not, this never prevents Foleo from creating this 4D painting, art further defined by the energy and exuberance of the performance. Worthy of note: this artist was awarded Addy Gold Medals for his past promotions of Henny Youngman, Timothy Leary, Iggy Pop, John Cale, David Alan Coe, Jerry Jeff Walker, Talking Heads, The Cramps, The Buzzcocks, XTC, The Specials, The Police, Sonny Terry, Brownie McGee, Rick Danko, Paul Butterfield, Asleep at the Wheel, Jimmie Spheeris, Dan Hicks and the Hot Licks, Commander Cody, Elvin Bishop, just to name a few. As a painter, his work has been included in major exhibitions in 48 U.S. states and a number of other countries. As master of many media and a slave to none, his visions have been nothing short of an incredible enhancement to the existentail travail common to all. As previously referenced, art history makes an appearance as he unabashedly refers to the Masters of various schools (more specifically, painters like Lautrec, Degas, Van Dongen, Warhol and many others), lending a subtext to the "painting" he is doing of a live performance - Art and Homage - to fine musicians, much more than a mere home movie. The most appropriate statement heard to date is: Remember - even if you were there then, you weren't this there! How true. More about the artist may be found here: http://www.facebook.com/MyFoleo SK-Ref.127_0360Anime ©MF 2012 - All rights reserved by respective parties.

WFIE in Evansville said no to this commercial....why? ABOUT ANYTHING BEAU'S (http://anythingbeaus.com) You are about to embark on a unique entertainment experience. ANYTHING BEAU'S is a multimedia journey into the crazy life of Mr. Beau Ratliffe. Not too long ago, a series of life events (some tragic, come not) left Mr. Ratliffe penniless and living back home with his mother in Mount Vernon, Indiana. Rather than accept defeat, he decided to change the world for the better. Believing that he can do anything he sets his mind to, Beau documents his life-changing adventures. As a 40 year-old gay man starting his life from scratch, Beau's adventures are just beginning. ANYTHING BEAU'S incorporates (and satirizes) elements of reality television, internet culture, sexuality and mass consumerism. It's more than just a web series, it includes self-referential media, comic books, newsletters, other web sites, books, and live performances/exhibitions all designed to expand and realize the workd Beau inhabits. You can interact with Beau via his facebook, his hotline (812) 618-BEAU, participate in coloring contests and appear in videos. With over 8 hours of produced video, multiple facebook pages, secret websites, animated segments, and Easter eggs there's no real entry point into the Beau-verse. It's best to just dive right into this non-linear storytelling experience that bestgayblogs.com called "HILARIOUS...a riot!"

http://www.easybreathe.net http://www.massagenerd.com http://www.fsmta.org Other Worlds was the brain child of John Romano, LMT on the foundation of bringing people quality products and services. His vision incorporates those special "things in life" that has special meaning to him and are the core of where his interests lie for which he has a very distinct passion. Born in Philadelphia to a Greek father and German Mother, though adopted into a family that's Italian/Native American/English; he grew up in West Chester, PA, "in the country", and attended East High School. during that time, he was in the school band and on the varsity gymnastics team. After graduating high school, he attended Kutztown University, majoring in Fine Arts and taking a minor in Biology. He worked in a massage clinic in Allentown while going to school, along with working in a few garden centers and greenhouses there. He also started playing in local rock bands, as front man, playing guitar and providing lead vocals. Playing with different musicians, "one of the guys that I practiced with at College was Peter Loran of Trixter fame, though that was short lived due to the fact that they, Trixter, got a recording contract". John also had his own college radio show where where he played some of his own songs on the playlist. He had recorded the songs on a four track recorder with then friend and guitarist David Lenat. During that time John met up with George Motter who was an independent producer. George had heard John's broad casts over the college station and was impressed with his performances, though it was the "songs from a new and undiscovered band" that John had on his show that intrigued George the most. Once Mr. Motter found out that it was John's band who was behind the songs, George signed them up and recorded an independent EP "Rain of Terror" that got some radio play and became pretty popular in Japan, "yes I still have copies for sale." John claims. John left Kutztown Univ., to go back to West Chester to help run the family business for a while. "My dad had to have bypass surgery and had 6 bypasses, when they were done, none of them worked, so he ended up having a heart transplant and is still hanging in there". He got engaged to a wonderful woman that he had met while at college, though it only lasted 2 1/2 years, as he "wasn't sure exactly what I wanted out of life at that time and didn't want someone to be burdened or effected for any time until I found out what I wanted or needed to do". John had a couple art exhibits at a local gallery in West Chester, the prestigious Artemis Gallery, that went really well and was loved by local art critics. During this time he still played in a few bands in the "Philly" music scene. Playing the clubs with such acts as Bon Jovi, Cinderella, Britney Foxx, Metallica, Poison, Y&T and others. "I had recorded an independent EP Titled "Rain of Terror", which was received very well in Japanese radio, though due to a lack of funds things never really took off for it".

Meanwhile the super hot Cat was riding his skateboard while playing chunes on his Ipod and then BOOM!!!The Battle Begins!!! the Wolf Jumped in front of him and said give me your rubik's cube and your Jessica Alba lunchbox or I'll call the police and tell them about the alternative avant garde lifestyle that you've been living. WHAT ?! said the cat ( lol ) He looked into his pocket for the proper code to release his dragonball z monster that was hidden in his little kitten pocket. KABOOOM!! A giant 100 foot tall two headed Homer and Bart Simpson behemoth arose from inside his red ball of power. The Simpsons were a threat that the wolf never imagined would serve to challenge him in an animal fight. So he called up the Swag lord Malik on his Google phone and told them to bring a metal stripper to destroy these Crump cartoon machines before his eyes as well as vote for Obama or Hillary Clinton! So then, Outta the Blue....a robot parody of a funny novel I once read called the Davinci code came out of nowhere to protect the wolf. Then Marge And Maggie Simpson fell from the sky like angels to lay their wrath upon the strong dog. Even Lisa appeared with an Oprah medallion on her side that was glaring with the aura of a Magical moorish gem that would make Harry Potter jealous. Ultimately, Tiger Woods ordered his army of 1000 Beautiful Blond Bombshells to Stop the Madness! The silly wolf made a stupid mistake. He slipped on a banana and fell on his ass so hard that he could no longer walk! The cat side are you alright? are you Hurt?! or in pain?...and the wolf replied " You foolish pussy cat! Vampire Killers are coming to get you ! ...the cat said " dont make me pull Hannibal out of my pokemon ball too! I'm warning you!" Then a blond fairy appeared and told them all to stop or she would turn them into frogs!!! ( rofl ) Then the magic fairy said "do you want me to give you a sex change operation?! or do y'all want me to delete your myspace pages!!!??" Both animals replied " NO " dont do that Please dont do that! We just want to be Platinum rap stars like on that tmz channel. Can you surgically bond us to Angelina Jolie possibly? the Fairy replied " I want an apology for Michael Jackson. Then Oj appeared with a baseball bat and a basketball jersey screaming " I want a Hershey!" The cat said I'm so thirsty for some almond coconut milk ..cookies would complement that nice. or maybe I just stick with eating mice. So they all went back to Oj's house to watch Full House versus the Family Guy's spouse! and then the whole city got destroyed by a nuclear bomb developed by terrorists funded by your Mom! Bernie Masterson Weather MON 22 SEP - SAT 22 NOV 2014 Ground Floor Gallery, Draiocht Blanchardstown Launched on Saturday 20 Sept 2014 by Michael Harding, Short-story Writer, Novelist and Playwright. Introduced by Emer McGowan, Director Draiocht. And finishing thanks by Bernie Masterson. ‘Weather’ - Masterson’s new body of paintings explores landscape as untamed nature. ‘As a painter, landscape has always been my place of interest, my starting point so to speak, layered with time, place, and memory. In this collection of new works my response to the landscape (both the beauty and the terrors of nature) is to ‘poeticise’ it, just like early nineteenth century artists did. Weather changes landscape, it shapes it, and subsequently our relationship and response to it.’ Bernie Masterson is an artist living and working in Dublin. She was born in Ballymoney, Co Antrim, Northern Ireland and graduated from Limerick School of Art and Design. She has had solo exhibitions with several galleries like the Hallward Gallery Dublin, Waterford Healing Arts Trust, the Custom House Gallery Westport, the Clothworthy Museum Co Antrim and the Hunt Museum Limerick to name some and is regularly selected and invited to several group shows like the Royal Ulster Academy, Royal Hibernian Academy, Eigse, Dunamaise Open and Rua Red Winter Open. Draiocht's Galleries are open Monday to Saturday 10am-6pm. Admission is Free. Further info: http://www.draiocht.ie

We live a great portion of our lives in the online world. While doing so, we are continuously being tracked; our online identities categorized and sorted into the buckets of Big Data at all possible points. Facebook, Google and Apple, attempt to get as much usage data from each one of us as is possible. Our anonymous identities become unique data portraits, just as much as our tweets and status updates, which are conscious, identify forming activities that we author to reflect our social selves. There are positive moments that point toward new possibilities for our digital selves within this evolving digital landscape, we just need to help create and share those places as the digital marches forward to what we can imagine for it.

My advice is this: Settle! That's right. Don't worry about passion or intense connection. Don't nix a guy based on his annoying habit of yelling "Bravo!" in movie theaters. Overlook his halitosis or abysmal sense of aesthetics. Because if you want to have the infrastructure in place to have a family, settling is the way to go. Based on my observations, in fact, settling will probably make you happier in the long run, since many of those who marry with great expectations become more disillusioned with each passing year. (It's hard to maintain that level of zing when the conversation morphs into discussions about who's changing the diapers or balancing the checkbook.) Obviously, I wasn't always an advocate of settling. In fact, it took not settling to make me realize that settling is the better option, and even though settling is a rampant phenomenon, talking about it in a positive light makes people profoundly uncomfortable. Whenever I make the case for settling, people look at me with creased brows of disapproval or frowns of disappointment, the way a child might look at an older sibling who just informed her that Jerry's Kids aren't going to walk, even if you send them money. It's not only politically incorrect to get behind settling, it's downright un-American. Our culture tells us to keep our eyes on the prize (while our mothers, who know better, tell us not to be so picky), and the theme of holding out for true love (whatever that is—look at the divorce rate) permeates our collective mentality. Even situation comedies, starting in the 1970s with The Mary Tyler Moore Show and going all the way to Friends, feature endearing single women in the dating trenches, and there's supposed to be something romantic and even heroic about their search for true love. Of course, the crucial difference is that, whereas the earlier series begins after Mary has been jilted by her fiancé, the more modern-day Friends opens as Rachel Green leaves her nice-guy orthodontist fiancé at the altar simply because she isn't feeling it. But either way, in episode after episode, as both women continue to be unlucky in love, settling starts to look pretty darn appealing. Mary is supposed to be contentedly independent and fulfilled by her newsroom family, but in fact her life seems lonely. Are we to assume that at the end of the series, Mary, by then in her late 30s, found her soul mate after the lights in the newsroom went out and her work family was disbanded? If her experience was anything like mine or that of my single friends, it's unlikely. And while Rachel and her supposed soul mate, Ross, finally get together (for the umpteenth time) in the finale of Friends, do we feel confident that she'll be happier with Ross than she would have been had she settled down with Barry, the orthodontist, 10 years earlier? She and Ross have passion but have never had long-term stability, and the fireworks she experiences with him but not with Barry might actually turn out to be a liability, given how many times their relationship has already gone up in flames. It's equally questionable whether Sex and the City's Carrie Bradshaw, who cheated on her kindhearted and generous boyfriend, Aidan, only to end up with the more exciting but self-absorbed Mr. Big, will be better off in the framework of marriage and family. (Some time after the breakup, when Carrie ran into Aidan on the street, he was carrying his infant in a Baby Björn. Can anyone imagine Mr. Big walking around with a Björn?)
