Download & Stream: https://defected.lnk.to/DFTD050D2 Simply an iconic track from Swiss brothers Mandrax and Seb K aka Shakedown, ‘At Night’ is one of the most recognisable house tracks of the last two decades. With one of the most-hyped remixes of the year, artist of the moment Peggy Gou has seriously delivered with a squelching 7 minute groover, bringing in that iconic synth motif to lift the production and keep it rolling. Stepping up to tackle this masterpiece with a nu-disco dance track, Tiger & Woods use cowbell to accent a B-boy beat, with drum machine breaks bringing it back to the dancefloor. Finally in the package is a brand new mix from the Shakedown duo themselves, the Galactic Boogie. With saturated synths and interplanetary breakdowns, Shakedown bring a carefree 80s quality to this iconic track’s irresistible after-dark charm. It's easy to get home from a trip and just empty your backpack and put things away. However, there is a lot of value in doing a post hike shakedown to analyze your gear and make decisions on what worked and didn't work. ˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜ Want to know how you can support the channel more? 1) Shop for gear on REI.com: http://bit.ly/2EVyQr9 2) Shop for gear on Backcountry.com: http://bit.ly/2SfWqBO 3) Shop for anything on Amazon: http://amzn.to/2ixoW5w 4) Send a one time PayPal donation: [email protected] _ Follow Me! The annual shakedown cruise is a bit of a tradition. It is usually sometime around the middle of March, St Patrick's Day weekend if the weather is good enough or there abouts. The idea is to flush out any problems that may get bigger over the coming boating season. And I have found over time that most boats will oblige by providing you with at least one expensive issue that will need resolving immediately, will cost twice as much as you expected and will take three times longer than expected. Such is boating. The ability to laugh at oneself and one choice of boat is a good quality to have. Just a quick montage mostly of drone clips of our 4 weeks in Montana. This trip was focused on testing the equipment, solar, power, water and layout and usability of the interior. Overall a great trip and we identified our strengths and weaknesses. This winter will be full of fun little projects to change that into strengths and other strengths :-)

Finally finished rebuilding the truck after our wreck in Moab! This was our first time getting it out to test the new BTF long travel kit with front and rear Kings. We haven't tuned them yet, so there is definitely room for improvement, but HOLY COW does the truck perform well. Whoop sections, suspension close-ups, and some jumps for fun. Enjoy!

Took out our new Jayco white hawk for the first time for a shakedown run. We went to a rv park we found by accident last year. We wanted to stay close just in case there were any problems. There wasn't really much to "report" being that we had NO ISSUES! We didn't really go into detail about this rv park since we stayed here last year: Part 1 https://youtu.be/F-069HWTSuU Part 2 https://youtu.be/AJoqJuR36t0 All the sites here are full hookup, but the only utility we used was the 30amp power. We wanted to run each system through its paces to make sure it all worked, but wanted the hookups there just in case. We traveled out with a full fresh water tank, and returned with empty holding tanks to see what the difference would be while towing, to be honest I didn't notice a difference at all, then again I have more tow vehicle than we need for this trailer. Hey guys, This video is a quick highlight video from a 2 night/ 3 day trip in Brown's Canyon near Buena Vista, Colorado. We did this trip in Mid-March to spend some time with my brother before his upcoming military deployment so I didn't document as much as I plan to with these videos going forward. It was a great trip to shake down some new gear, including the Big Agnes AXL Insulated sleeping pad, a Trail Designs Kojin alcohol stove, and the Zpacks Altaplex that I picked up during the winter months this year. I'm sure I'll have videos on some of those items coming soon. Music in this video is from Silent Partner, you can find them here: https://soundcloud.com/silentpartnermusic Thanks for watching and subscribe if you enjoyed the video! I'll have alot more content coming soon for 2018!

Now that we got most of the items needed for our overland adventures, we need to do a shake down trip to see how everything works. So we planned a trip to do the Mojave Road from US 95 south of the turnoff SR 163 towards Laughlin, NV. You can take the road West to Baker, CA. We found a nice campground in the New York mountains for the first night (Caruthers Canyon), The desert was in bloom saw lots of great scenic views, and learned a little history along the way. The railroad first ran through this area in 1854, several families tried to homestead in the area and were unable to make a go of it and the evidence that they were there still standing as in stone cabins and old corals. The mailbox, the site of the U.S. Flag in the middle of the desert is a stirring site. Be sure and stop at the Mojave Road Mailbox at mile 74 on the Mojave Road. There is a sign-in book inside the metal box, please sign in and leave any comments. We took the Mojave Road to the Kelbaker road and headed towards Baker CA and the second night of camping at seventeen-mile point. Now to head home and get started on our list of things we need to add to the Jeep before we go out on any long trips. You know what they say the perfect vehicle is always a work in progress. We had a very good shake down trip learned a lot about what we need to do to get camp set up quickly and be able to do everything else out of the back of the jeep and be self-sufficient out on the trails. Our first trip on two $3500 RX3's. When we left had less than 25 miles on them when we returned had more than 1300. Through Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Texas. We did two oil changes one at 200 miles and the second once we had 1000 miles on the first oil change as recommended for break in. The oil looked clean with minimal filings on the magnetic drain plug. No trouble with the RX3's other than normal maintenance.

We talk about some of the gear we took on a 5 day Allagash River canoe trip. To put it in context, we are not minimalist campers, so you could do this with less gear. We went in mid May, temps were cool, but not cold except in the early mornings. Water flow was 5,000 cubic feet per second when we started. Bugs were not out yet, so that was pleasant and there were very few other people on the water way, so camp sites were easy to select. We put in at lake Umsaskis and took out where the Allagash meets the St John, just over 50 miles. It is a 2 night 3 day trip if you are just trying to get it done; an easy 3 night 4 day trip; we went to enjoy camping as well as canoeing so we stretched it into a 4 night 5 day trip.

A shakedown trip in the Toyota flatbed up to a lake in the mountains for a day of fishing. I encountered a bull Elk to start off, then on to a completely empty lake where the fishing for large Lake Trout (aka Mackinaw Trout) was pretty good. I had plans to hit another lake if this first lake didn't work out, but I ended up catching a few fish. The larger fish were released and I kept a smaller ones for the table. Even the "small" ones are plenty for several meals and they seem to taste better than the larger ones.

Taking your new or new-to-you RV out camping for the first time can be a bit intimidating. One way to lower your stress level is to plan a short trip to a local park, RV park or even your backyard. This way you can test out the systems and your planning checklists to ensure you know how to operate your new RV and have what you need. Such a trip will give you the confidence to embark on a longer, more complicated trip with much less fear and trepidation.
