What does ADVERTISING CAMPAIGN mean? ADVERTISING CAMPAIGN meaning. Source: Wikipedia.org article, adapted under https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ license. An advertising campaign is a series of advertisement messages that share a single idea and theme which make up an integrated marketing communication (IMC). Advertising campaigns appear in different media channels across a specific time frame that often need to be clearly defined. Modern advertising campaigns often combine multiple online and offline channels such as online social media, TV, OOH media, branded packaging, etc. A critical part of making an advertising campaign is determining a campaign theme as it sets the tone for the individual advertisements and other forms of marketing communications that will be used. The campaign theme is the central message that will be communicated in the promotional activities. The campaign themes are usually developed with the intention of being used for a substantial period but many of them are short-lived due to factors such as being ineffective or market conditions and / or competition in the marketplace and marketing mix. Advertising campaigns are developed to achieve a particular goal or a set of goals. Such goals typically include establishing a brand, raising brand awareness, increasing the rate of conversions/sales. The degree of success or failure at reaching these goals is measured with analytic tools. For instance, Google Analytics offers a set of instruments for reviewing and evaluation of online campaigns. There are 5 key points at which an advertising campaign must consider to ensure an effective campaign. These points are, integrated marketing communications, media channels, positioning, the communications process diagram and touch points. When an organisation begins to construct their advertising campaign they need to research all aspects of their target market/ target consumer. The target consumer is the person or group of people who are most likely to buy from an organisation. A target consumer can be categorized be several key characteristics; Gender, age, occupation, material status, geographical location, behavioural, level of income and education to name the main factors. Gender is simply whether a person is male or female. Age is usually broken up into bracketed intervals of ten or so years, for example a persons age between 15–25 years old. By understanding which age bracket the target market falls into the advertisers can position their efforts accordingly. Occupation is also known as profession and refers to what a person does for a living; this could be a particular job, student, unemployed etc. A person’s material status defines whether they are married or unmarried. Geographical location is a broad term specifying a particular area or place within a given country, state/ city, suburb or street as some examples. Income refers to home much money a person is earning annually which can help identify how much money they have left over after expenses to potential spend on a brand. The final factor to explain is education, whether a person went to school or not, what school they attended, what standard of education they have, diplomas, certificates, graduate, degrees, masters, PhD’s or other forms of defining educational factors. Knowing this information can help an advertiser understand their target markets level of thinking to help adapt the advertising campaign to be understood by the given target consumer/s. For a business to successfully find the appropriate Target Market for their products or services, it is important that they segment the market to better decide which customers to target. This is best done when the market is segmented into the four following areas: geographic, demographic, psychographic and behavioural. Geographic segmentation involves the market being divided into different nations, regions, states, counties, cities, or neighbourhoods. Segmenting the Target market geographically is effective as different areas have different needs, which can be effected by weather, fashion, etc. Demographic segmentation separates the market into groups according to age, gender, family size, income, occupation, education, religion, nationality, and race. It is important to note that this is the easiest and least expensive way to segment the market, as the research has already been done. Psychographic segmentation is the process of markets being divided into groups based on social class, personality characteristics, and values.

http://www.evancarmichael.com/Masters/ - NEWEST VIDEO http://www.evancarmichael.com/Worksheets/ - Worksheets for Entrepreneurs Like this video? Please give it a thumbs up below and/or leave a comment - Thank you!!! Today's challenge questions come from Jennifer Ripel from White-O-Coccolli, a producer of children's eco-friendly tableware. Jennifer asked: What is the most productive form of advertising for a small business? To answer this question I'd first look at where most of your customers are coming from right now. Especially in the early days of a business it's important to ask each of your clients how they found out about you. Once you know more about how they found you, it's worth looking into advertising to see if there's a way you can market yourself so more people come to you. You want to be where your potential customers are -- otherwise you're wasting your time and money. For example, let's say you're getting a lot of young moms buying from you and they're telling each other about your products. Can you ramp up sales by joining young mom groups, partnering with other businesses that market to them, sponsor an event or newsletter for them, join their Facebook pages and get involved, engage with community leaders and bloggers, etc.? There is no one best way for every business; you have to find what works for you. That being said, the most cost effective way for most entrepreneurs is to go online. It costs less, you get real time data, and you can change your messaging on the fly. Here are three suggestions for you in this video. Good luck Jennifer and if you have any other questions just let me know! What Do You Think? What is your favourite way to advertise your business? Or do you have a challenge question that you'd like me to answer for you for next month? I'd love to hear what you think by leaving a comment below!

How to design a successful logo? How to build a famous brand for your business? Some of the most well-known logos in the world were purposefully designed to indicate something much more than simple beauty. In fact, it seems that in some cases, every line, curve, and color has meaning behind it. Adidas, Apple, BMW, Coca-Cola, Toyota… We see these famous brands everywhere but never consider what their logos exactly mean. Curious to know the secret? Watch the 16 famous logos with a hidden meaning you've never noticed. #logomeaning #logosecret # Hyundai 0:33 The letter ’Н’ symbolizes two people – a client and a representative of the company – shaking hands. Adidas 0:52 The current logo is three stripes at an angle which together form a triangle. This symbolizes a mountain, which in turn represents the challenges that all sportsmen have to overcome day after day. Apple 1:21 Rob Janoff, the designer who came up with the world-famous Apple company logo, explained his idea in one of his interviews. He bought a bag of apples, placed them in a bowl, and spent time drawing them for a week, trying to break the image down into something simple. Vaio 1:58 The first two letters of the Vaio logo symbolize an analogue wave. The last two are similar to the numbers 1 and 0 — that is, symbols of a digital signal. Amazon 2:14 The orange arrow is similar to a smile because the company wants its customers to be satisfied. The arrow is also stretched between the letters ’A’ and ’Z’, in a hint that the company sells absolutely every product you can imagine. Baskin Robbins 2:40 The pink-colored parts of the "BR" section make up the number 31, which is how many ice cream flavors Baskin Robbins used to famously sell. Toyota 2:56 The logo represents a stylized image of a needle eye with a thread passing through it. This is a hint at the company’s past – they used to produce weaving machines. Continental 3:28 Continental, a famous car tire producer, has a logo in which the first two letters depict a car wheel. Formula 1 3:41 If you look carefully at the white space between the letter ’F’ and the red stripes, you can see the number 1. Pinterest 3:59 On Pinterest, people collect images they like from across the Internet and ’pin’ them to their online boards. That’s why the image of a pin is hidden in the letter P. Beats 4:17 Beats, an audio equipment producer based in the USA, uses a logo in which the letter ’B’ looks like headphones on a person’s head. Toblerone 4:32 The famous chocolate company based in Bern, Switzerland, has a silhouette of a bear in its logo. That's because Bern is sometimes called a city of bears. BMW 4:55 The logo is simply a part of the Bavarian flag, the area of Germany where the company originated. LG 5:18 The logo is a stylized image of a person’s face. According to the company, this represents its aspiration to have human relations with their customers. Evernote 5:34 The corner of the elephant’s ear is folded over in a similar way how people fold the corner of a page to make notes. Coca-Cola 5:57 In the space between the letters ’O’ and ’L’, you can see the Danish flag. It’s purely a coincidence. Nevertheless, Coca-Cola has used this as part of its marketing campaigns in the Scandinavian country. If you’ve enjoyed this video, hit that thumbs up button! Here’s what to do before anything else. The purpose of a product launch is to drive traffic and sales to your online business, so that it can grow and thrive. Launching a new product is a great way to attract new customers, but it takes time to plan and execute. Many entrepreneurs feel the need to promote their products right away, and end up rushing the process. The result can be disastrous. In the words of David Ramsey, "People are in such a hurry to launch their product that they seldom look at marketing from a bird's eye view and they don't create a systematic plan." A successful product launch starts with a great strategy, and I'm here to walk you through it. Are you ready to learn the step-by-step process for launching your product? Here's what to do before anything else. This page contains affiliate links. If you purchase a product through one of them, I will receive a commission (at no additional cost to you). What is COMPARATIVE ADVERTISING? What does COMPARATIVE ADVERTISING mean? COMPARATIVE ADVERTISING meaning - COMPARATIVE ADVERTISING definition - COMPARATIVE ADVERTISING explanation. Source: Wikipedia.org article, adapted under https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ license. SUBSCRIBE to our Google Earth flights channel - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6UuCPh7GrXznZi0Hz2YQnQ Comparative advertising or advertising war is an advertisement in which a particular product, or service, specifically mentions a competitor by name for the express purpose of showing why the competitor is inferior to the product naming it. Also referred to as "knocking copy", it is loosely defined as advertising where “the advertised brand is explicitly compared with one or more competing brands and the comparison is obvious to the audience.” This should not be confused with parody advertisements, where a fictional product is being advertised for the purpose of poking fun at the particular advertisement, nor should it be confused with the use of a coined brand name for the purpose of comparing the product without actually naming an actual competitor. ("Wikipedia tastes better and is less filling than the Encyclopedia Galactica.") In the United States, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) defined comparative advertising as “advertisement that compares alternative brands on objectively measurable attributes or price, and identifies the alternative brand by name, illustration or other distinctive information.” This definition was used in the case Gillette Australia Pty Ltd v Energizer Australia Pty Ltd. Similarly, the Law Council of Australia recently suggested that comparative advertising refers to “advertising which include reference to a competitor’s trademark in a way which does not impute proprietorship in the mark to the advertiser.” Comparative advertisements could be either indirectly or directly comparative, positive or negative, and seeks “to associate or differentiate the two competing brands”. Different countries apply differing views regarding the laws on comparative advertising.

What is NATIVE ADVERTISING? What does NATIVE ADVERTISING mean? NATIVE ADVERTISING meaning - NATIVE ADVERTISING definition - NATIVE ADVERTISING explanation. Source: Wikipedia.org article, adapted under https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ license. Native advertising is a type of advertising, mostly online, that matches the form and function of the platform upon which it appears. In many cases, it manifests as either an article or video, produced by an advertiser with the specific intent to promote a product, while matching the form and style which would otherwise be seen in the work of the platform's editorial staff. The word "native" refers to this coherence of the content with the other media that appears on the platform. Product placement (embedded marketing) is a precursor to native advertising. Instead of embedded marketing's technique of placing the product within the content, in native marketing the product and content are merged. Because of this merger of advertising and content, the legal status of native advertising is uncertain, and the Federal Trade Commission held a workshop on advertorials and other disguised advertising in 2013. Despite the ambiguity surrounding native advertising's invention, many experts do consider the Hallmark Hall of Fame, a series which first aired in 1951 and still runs today, as among the earliest instances of the technique. According to Lin Grensing-Pophal, "The award-winning series is arguably one of the earliest examples of 'native' advertising—advertising that is secondary to the message being delivered, but impactful through its association with valued content." Contemporary formats for native advertising now include promoted videos, images, articles, commentary, music, and other various forms of media. A majority of these methods for delivering the native strategy have been relegated to an online presence, where it is most commonly employed as publisher-produced brand content, a similar concept to the traditional advertorial. Alternative examples of modern technique include search advertising, when ads appear alongside search results that qualify as native to the search experience. Popular examples include, Twitter's promoted Tweets, Facebook's promoted stories, and Tumblr's promoted posts. The most traditionally influenced form of native marketing manifests as the placement of sponsor-funded content alongside editorial content, or showing "other content you might be interested in" which is sponsored by a marketer alongside editorial recommendations. Most recently, controversy has arisen as to whether Content marketing is a form of native marketing, or if they are inherently separate ideologies and styles; with native market strategists claiming that they utilize content marketing techniques, and some content market strategists claiming to not be a form of native marketing. As it is the nature of disguised advertising to blend with their surrounding, a clear disclosure was deemed necessary when employing native marketing strategy in order to protect the consumer from being deceived, and to assist audiences in distinguishing between sponsored and regular content. According to Federal Trade Commission, means of disclosure include visual cues, labels, and other techniques. The most common practices of these are recognizable by understated labels, such as “Advertisement”, “Ad”, “Promoted”, “Sponsored”, “Featured Partner”, or “Suggested Post” in subtitles, corners, or the bottoms of ads. A widespread tendency in such measures is to mention the brand name of the sponsor, as in “Promoted by ”, “Sponsored by ”, or “Presented by ”. These can vary drastically due to the publisher's choice of disclosure language (i.e. wording used to identify native advertising placement). In 2009, the Federal Trade Commission released their Endorsement Guideline specifically to increase consumer awareness of endorsements and testimonials in advertising given the rise in popularity of social media and blogging.

Like https://www.facebook.com/nativeadexch... Follow https://twitter.com/Native_Ads ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Campaign Details First, select your campaign type. There are two options. What is the purpose of your ad campaign? If you are creating a Direct Response campaign and your primary goal is to sell a product, collect contacts or generate business with a strong call to action directed towards the user, click here If you are creating an Editorial campaign, and your goal is to get users to read, like or share your content, click here If you are still unsure of which type your campaign fits into, click on the "I'm not sure" link to get more information on each type of campaign. The setup process for both of these campaign types is very similar but differs when it comes to Campaign Optimization, which I will show you later. First, you will need to give some basic information about your campaign. The name of your campaign, here, is unique to your campaign. The Brand Name is the name of your site. So For example, if your site is beautifulphotos, the brand name is Beautiful Photos. There is an option to have your campaign target either Desktop or Mobile devices. Select one here. Geo Targeting allows you to select which countries you would like your campaign to run in. The "Include Countries" option is selected by default, with Canada and the United States as the presets. To target specific countries, keep the "Include Countries" option selected. Start typing the name of a country and a list of options will appear in the drop down list below. Do the same thing if you would like to exclude countries, just select the "Exclude Countries" button. You also have the option to select "All countries" to target all countries. Set the categories for your campaign to target. If no categories are chosen, the campaign will be considered Run Of The Network which means it will be applied to a wide variety of websites without ability so choose specific sites. In the Tracking Codes drop down option is the Native Ads UTM tracking code. A UTM code is a simple code that allows Google Analytics, or most other analytics programs, to track your campaign and provide you with amazing campaign reports. The code will give you lots of very useful information such as where your traffic came from or which ad was clicked to bring users to your landing page. We have created a Native Ads UTM tracking code that will be appended, by default, to all your advertising URL and will help you track your campaign later. We highly recommend you do not edit this field, unless you are experienced with tracking codes.

http://www.yoursmartbrand.com/blueprint -FREE BRANDING BLUEPRINT Branding - its importance and what a brand is from a marketing perspective. Branding is paramount to any business and its success. From a marketing perspective how can a brand or branding of a product be such an integral part? Branding is the heart of your company and the path to success but not every company needs it and some will need it far more so than others. Branding suggests a way and a method to how you best please your customers and what your business means to them. Your business needs to set itself apart from the rest, in other words your competition. If your branding is effective then you can stand out from the crowd. In any business there are several companies offering the same service but why should a customer choose your business over any of the others? Simple, you have a good branding, or at least you should have. Branding comes in several forms. It is not simply the name of your company or the design of your logo but the way you have feedback from (hopefully) satisfied customers and testimonials. The way you advertise is part of your branding too. How are you marketing your business? These important factors tell customers who you are and what you represent. Your task when branding is to get into the customer's mindset what you are all about. You will need to be confident and give the potential customer a feeling that you are proud of your business ethic. This installs confidence in your customer too. It is no good advertising your weaknesses or shortfalls. Remember when Gerald Ratner, owner of several branches of jewellery stores in the United Kingdom, labelled his stock as "just crap?" It was a branding disaster and one that ultimately finished off the chain as a viable business. Branding involves the promotion of your strengths and where you and your business can benefit potential customers. Every business needs to make customers feel at home when they utilise its services or buy from its stores. If you get the branding right, then this can go a long way in creating that successful marketing strategy. When you have a successful branding of your product or service you will find your customers will pay more for your business services or products as opposed to a service that does not provide any kind of branding. Branding helps to install confidence in the customer, otherwise what else makes them buy branded products more confidently than unbranded ones? Branding is one of the most important components of how successful your business can be and if done correctly then, the opportunities are endless. It's a fallacy to think that, the best companies in the marketplace are the wealthiest, it's the ones who use branding correctly using the right channels that, reach out to the largest and targeted audience who enjoy the most success and profits. Its a branding game. Everything you do with your business will effect how your brand will be perceived by your future customers, so finding the right building blocks and gathering a good reputation along the way will greatly enhance your changes and will determine who successful you'll become in your niche. What is Branding and why is it so important to build a good Brand. Many companies have devoted millions (if not billions) of dollars to develop their individualistic brand names to the stature that they are now. What has it taken to build the branding and brand names/vision from the CEO and founding members, untold extensive marketing strategy, years of continued focus and determination, passion, sweat, and hard work, and most importantly, a solid product that performs in the market. The above is just but a glimpse of what it has taken companies, with strong brand names, to reach where they are. Let us break down this 'branding' issues and see what it is, what it takes to make it, how to maintain it and increase its growth in the market. Definition of a Brand and branding The wording might differ as you move from state to state but the basic idea is still the same. A brand is a word, letter, symbol, design, color, phrase, or any other feature that is unique to a certain company\person. This is what identifies the seller's goods or services and distinguishes them from other similar products in the market. The genesis of the word goes through the years back to 1200s and the name has slowly changed to include many things. With each civilization from the 1200s, the brand has acquired new meaning and new dimension. This is primarily what has helped it to become so important in modern business culture. The word has now become synonymous with the word 'identity' when it comes to modern business culture. Branding can stand for, product company or service Companies have been known to pump millions of their revenue into shaping the perception that is created when the brand is shown. E.g., the name Microsoft invokes images of computers, software, technology etc.
