Whenever you use a source, you must have an in-text citation and a reference citation. They're a matched pair--like shoes or gloves. What are the differences between an APA in-text citation and an APA reference citation? How do the two work together? This video explains how to format and coordinate your APA in-text citations with your APA reference citations in the context of a discussion board post. But the same principles for using APA in-text citations applies to anything that you write which cites sources: DB posts, APA research papers, APA PowerPoints, and so on.
